(Montreal, Canada) August 7, 2015 – Back in 2014, believe it or not, adult industry professionals in Canada didn’t have an official STD testing agency.
This despite Montreal’s status as a big-time porn destination. Only Vid Vicious, apparently, insisted on regular testing for models in his productions. Other producers relied on models to maintain their own health. No major incidents involving AIDS or HIV to mention, however “better safe than sorry”, says Dominic Dauphinais of Maxxx Models.
So “out of necessity more than desire”, Dauphinais “worked very hard in collaboration with Sixto Pacheco to expand the TTS [Talent Testing Service] north of the border”.
Shortly after, the first TTS service center opened for business in Montreal, on December 15th, 2014.
Canada now has TTS clinics in Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver. Other clinics are expected to open soon in Ottawa, Quebec city, Calgary and Edmonton.
“Maxxx Models is extremely proud to have played an important role in bringing the TTS service to Canada,” says Dauphinais. “Making the industry a much safer environment for all models across the country.”
Dauphinais’ motivation for starting the agency and trying to bring about a positive change in Canadian adult industry standards was due to “the lack of professional models or agencies that are easy to reach for bookings for my own productions, [which] made me realize there was a real need for some legitimate and professional agencies in Canada, especially Montreal and Toronto.”
Maxxx Models Canada also offers full service management, including career planning, marketing, branding, graphic and web design, styling, as well as webcam studios with MFC (My Free Cams) and Streamate.
“We offer all our models a personal paysite if they want it,” says Daupinais. “We also have distribution deals with VividTV for North American cable distribution for our models’ personal content, as well as several other clip-stores and what not, the whole package.”
Maxxx Models has partnered with CinemaView Media in Toronto and Carnal Cinema in Vancouver to help their models produce their own content. They also work with “Pheel & Kream” and Vid Vicious in Montreal.
Their aim is “to provide North American producers with a professional roster to choose from the best talent available in Canada and even in USA. As well as provide a viable option for producers regarding stylists, locations, equipment rentals or even creating content tailored to a producers requests.”
Maxx Models is not strictly a Canadian network. “We have partner agencies in Budapest, Prague, Moscow, Florida and Los Angeles.”
Maxxx Models’ roster has talent from all over Canada, including Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver.
